SLEEP DEPRIFUSION n. [Fr. sleep deprivation and confusion]: State of confusion caused by weeks, months or even years of sleeplessness that causes a person to act erratically and do foolish things such as answer the door when a telephone rings, wave hello to an inanimate object and forget to wear pants. Kyle Hinson, a sleep deprifused mother of a 15 month old in Atlanta, GA, sent in these other great examples:
1. “I went to refill my wine glass and poured whole milk in my glass instead.”
2. “One morning I went to warm my coffee up in the microwave and found my lunch in there, from the day before.”
How about you? Have you ever experienced sleep deprifusion? What did you do in your chronically underslept state?
