While You Were Sleeping?
In the middle of the night (January 4th) at about 3 a.m. Eastern Time, there is supposed to be a fantastic meteor shower. This blog has an excellent description of the Quadrantids shower and tips for viewing it. If you live somewhere without too much cloud cover or light pollution, bundle up and go crazy. And then tell me about it because I will be sleeping through it.
And if you wake up your kids for a viewing party, you will be my hero.
(Wikipedia Image of the Leonid Meteor Shower in 1833. It’s not a photo but an artist’s rendering. Pretty though, eh?)
