In addition to the occasional “Project Thanks” posting, I’m going to expand the series to include something I’m tentatively calling “Project Sorry.”
For “Project Sorry,” please email me a line or two (or three or four or five) about something you want to apologize to someone for and include your phone number. That’s it. I’ll go through them and in many cases, I’ll call you, ask you questions and write up your story. I will tell you when I’m posting and then you can tell the person to whom you want to apologize to look online. Or not. You don’t have to. I will be using first names or pseudonyms only. I think these should be private.
Why? I think a lot of us have moments we wish we could go back in time and erase. I think we’d feel better if we could just apologize for them. I would be happy to interview you and then write up your story. If you prefer writing your own apology, that’s great too. You can share it with me and I’ll post links to some of them.
I don’t know if anyone wants to try this with me but if you do, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’m happy to answer any and all questions about this. And, if you can, reblog and reblog and reblog to get the word out, that would be incredibly nice.
